These r exactly my point of view as well. Wot is truly the trade off .. simply said maximum probability jannah. Being myself in the west since my teenages, early adulthood n finally during adult years, looking bak 99% people of my background r least bothered of buying duniya for akhera.
While the immigrants r barely 2 mechanically maintaining the rules n rituals of the deen n trying hard 2 at least train (never priority, like bak home - here is a cliché) their offsprings 2 teach the basics of Islam but the kids r more interested with achieving duniya. Bcoz parents feel more secured of the kids future (interesting isn't it?) n ignore the true earnings ie., jahannam. Rarely I saw the hope of deen continuation thru the generations brought up there (unless some1 is truly fortunate kid of the inshallah jannati committed mother explaining her situation very emotionally in the video).
Most of the parents don't know even wots in the syllabus, whlch atheists or kafirs kids r thru grades n manners building up a lasting role model impressions in the budding mind (rock stars n football players too) creating confusions n waiting 2 express rebellion when he is off 2 college or even later. He sees keeping (also dumping) a girlfriend is a must otherwise he is considered a queer (gay), n which prophet cud hav guaranteed celibacy with prayer 2 allah will guarantee a fasting youth from age 15 to 25 to refrain in all for sex society? Then some of them even become so democratic n liberal that they even accept sodomy as a rite n way of life, only if they knew the punishment Allah sent 2 kaum e lut (a.s.) wud they hav been disgusted with such gross sins in the disguise of rites. In allmost every walk of life he is heavily influenced by his surroundings of friends, colleagues (with whom he hav 2 compete/cooperate 2 b successful) in a society where the general norms r deep in haram but acceptable 2 their double standards.

The core of the problem mostly lies, according 2 my observations, that most Muslims think either Allah is too merciful n forgiving or a few years in jahannam n then automatic transfer in the jannah due 2 the virtue of just being Muslims. Due 2 all messed up logics of the religion n wrong priority settings we r losing slowly both at home n abroad the rahmah of Allah which is putting us in bakseats of all worldly - halal n haram affairs, n above all we r in an unstoppable downward slope of losing our religion (astagfirillah]. No one but only we can n hav 2 fix ourselves by learning the proper messages of quran n sunnah, if we want 2 save ourselves n c how Allah's barakah showers down in greater qualities n quantities wiith halal activities.
